Sanoma Startup Challenge 2014: The Future of Learning

sanoma-SSC-apple-greenSanoma is inviting digital learning startups to participate in the Sanoma Startup Challenge, in an effort to actively support the future of education. Sanoma Startup Challenge is a startup competition that is open to European startups active in the ecosystem of primary and secondary education. The selected finalists will pitch their ideas and receive extensive feedback and mentoring from Sanoma during an event held in Amsterdam.  All the finalists will receive active mentoring sessions by SanomaLearning and SanomaVentures experts, the opportunity to pitch at The Next Web Conference in Amsterdam and the chance to improve and expand their business in cooperation with Sanoma. The final winner of the Sanoma Startup Challenge will receive a cash prize of 25.000 euro.
A European Challenge European companies are eligible to apply to the startup challenge, of which the final event will take place in Amsterdam on 23, 24 and 25 April 2014.

StartUp Bootcamp Amsterdam 2014

Startupbootcamp Amsterdam, Europe’s most successful startup accelerator, has opened the applications for their new 2014 program. After two successful programs the founders, Patrick de Zeeuw and Ruud Hendriks, have raised the bar yet again, for both the participants and themselves. The program focuses on intensive mentoring from industry leaders across Europe and beyond, propelling tech startups into higher levels of growth and funding. Since the beginning of the Startupbootcamp Amsterdam program the total “funding score” is set at 95%. Alumni have increased their valuations up to 15 times.

Postcode Lottery Green Challenge 2014

The Postcode Lottery Green Challenge is the largest annual worldwide competition for sustainable entrepreneurs who can instigate change. The challenge is looking for products or services that combine sustainabilityentrepreneurship and creativity. The products or services should reduce greenhouse-gas emissions by an amount you can roughly estimate, be developed enough to execute, be realisable as usable product or service within the next two years and preferably have integrated Cradle2Cradle principles in their designs. Ginger Dosier of bioMASON won the 2013 Postcode Lottery Green Challenge, and Wolbert Allaart from Ampyx Power and Patrick Heuts of Ofoil were both named runner-up. Congratulations!
